Whether you admired the 44th President of the Unites States or not some of these facts will surely surprise you, and give you another final look into his life.

He is biracial

You may have been aware that his father was a Kenyan, but did you know his mother was an American anthropologist with a PhD in Economic Anthropology and Rural Development? His parents met in 1960 in a Russian class at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, where his father was a foreign student on a scholarship.

His father left a wife and two children in Kenya

Obama’s father was a Kenyan Senior Governmental Economist. He had a wife, Kezia (pictured below), and two children back in Kenya when he was selected for a special program to attend College in the US. Barack Obama Sr.’s father was opposed to his son’s marriage to Ann, not only because she was Caucasian, but also because he thought his son would obivously neglect his wife and two children in Kenya.
